Abstract

3D concrete printing technology is a modern technology that allows to manufacture complex-structural products automatically from a 3D computer-aided design model. The application of this technology in the construction field provides much benefit for construction projects such as reducing labor demand, increasing the project efficiency, minimizing material wastage etc. Furthermore, application of this technology is suitable for the trend of sustainable development in construction field. This paper aims at introducing the 3D concrete printing technology along with its application potentiality and challenge in Vietnam. Besides, through the analysis of the outstanding advantages of this technology, this paper demonstrates that the application of the 3D concrete printing will enhance the development of construction filed in Vietnam. Finally, further research is proposed to facilitate the application of the 3D concrete printing in the Vietnam construction context. In order to achieve the objectives, the author performs a comprehensive study of international journal papers, report and relative studies etc.
