Influence of some technological parameters on compressive strength of concrete bricks

Abstract

At present, in the world in general and in Vietnam in particular, many kinds of technology have been applied to produce non-fired building materials in order to minimize environmental pollution during the exploitation and production process, creating positive results such as making use of many cheap materials available in the local regions, making many types of low cost materials, etc. Research topics on non-fired bricks in Vietnam mainly address the optimization of grading. However, studies on the influence of technological parameters are rarely mentioned. This paper presents the experimental results of the influence of some technological parameters of the practical production line such as vibration pressure, vibration time and the number of feeding spread time to compressive strength of concrete brick. Research results show that for vibration-press industrial production line of QT 10-15, the minimum vibration pressure from 11-13 MPa, vibration time from 5-7 seconds, the feeding spread of 3-4 times, grade of M7.5 of concrete brick can be achieved with low permeability and absorption.
