Application UHPC formwork for cast-in-situ reinforced concrete bridge deck slab
Nowadays, Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) has been being widely used in the field of civil engineering due to its outstanding mechanical properties and durability compared to conventional concrete. This article presents experimental results and an application of UHPC for making slab formwork in the construction of cast-in-situ reinforced concrete (R.C) deck slab of An Thuong bridge in Hung Yen city, which applies thin-slab model using finite element method (FEM) by ABAQUS software, and compares experimental results with results from the FEM model. The results of the study indicate that application of UHPC materials to fabricate slab formwork will open a potential direction in the construction of the cast-in-situ R.C bridge deck slab.
